Symbolism
The canton signifies the Regiment’s formation in 1917 from the 36th Infantry. The wolverine’s head represents its service in the 14th Division during World War I, as it was the unofficial insignia of that Division. None.
Background
The coat of arms was approved on 29 June 1921, amended to correct the blazon on 23 March 1938, and rescinded on 5 September 1958.
