Description/Blazon

Per pale Argent and Azure, on the dexter side a raven rising Sable, on the sinister side a mullet of the first; on a canton of the second an imperial Chinese dragon affronté Or.

Symbolism

The shield's colors represent Infantry. The raven, a crest of the first President, signifies the Regiment’s association with the State of Washington, where it was organized in June 1917 at Vancouver Barracks and trained in the 13th Division. The mullet on the dexter side signifies the regiment’s connection to its parent unit, the 14th Infantry Regiment. The canton features an imperial Chinese dragon, reflecting the heraldic device from the 14th Infantry Regiment.

Background

The coat of arms was approved on 22 April 1921 and amended to include the dragon on 5 December 1921. It was rescinded/cancelled on 14 December 1959.

Note: No distinctive unit insignia was authorized for this Regiment.
