Description/Blazon

On a yellow embroidered hexagon edged with a blue border, a pyramid of red flames issues from the base, surmounted by a sword point-up. The sword has a yellow pommel, hilt, and handguard, with a white blade between four red droplets arranged in two pairs.

Symbolism

Cobalt blue and yellow are traditional colors for Chemical units. The hexagon, adapted from the branch insignia, represents the benzene ring. The red flames signify the Brigade's mission, while the sword symbolizes military readiness. The red droplets represent the method of distributing chemicals, with the four droplets and eight flame licks referencing the unit's numerical designation.

Background

The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved effective September 16, 2007.
