784-Syria (Syria) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This glass is built around a silver tetradrachm minted in Antioch in 219 AD, showing the laureate head of Emperor Elagabalus on one side and an eagle on the other.

Visual Elements & Composition

The design is split into two faces of the coin. The obverse carries the profile portrait of Elagabalus, with a laurel wreath circling the head. The reverse shows an eagle with its wings spread, holding a wreath in its talons. The palette is mostly pale metal tones with darker charcoal details, and the figures are drawn in a flat vector style that keeps the classical lines clear.

Meaning & Symbolism

The coin was struck in Antioch, in the Seleucis and Pieria region of what is now Syria, during the Roman Empire. A silver tetradrachm of this kind worked as currency and as imperial propaganda at once. The laureate portrait announced the ruler, and the eagle with a wreath carried a message of imperial power and victory. The design sits at the crossroads of ancient governance and coinage.

A Coin Held Up to the Light

A shot glass is small and lifted close, which suits a coin design: the portrait sits at eye level as the glass is raised, and the eagle and wreath rest lower on the side. Clear glass lets the pale metal tones of the coin show through the drink.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
