Description/Blazon
A fess Or with eight mullets of the first, pierced of the second. Above the fess, a demi-horse rearing Argent surmounts a ribbon scroll Sable inscribed with "HONOR AND COURAGE" in gold letters. The insignia is designed to be worn in pairs.

Symbolism
The eight mullets represent the regimental number and adhere to Cavalry tradition, with the pierced mullet symbolizing the rowel of a spur. This tradition is further emphasized by the demi-horse.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on January 10, 1927. It was amended to correct the description on January 10, 1967, and again on September 29, 2014.
