AH10 ROK (South Korea) (Road Sign) White Coffee Mug

This design takes a single road designation, AH10, and pairs it with ROK, the standard abbreviation for the Republic of Korea, to make a direct and purposeful statement about South Korea.

Visual Elements & Composition

The composition is built around one identifier. AH10 sits at the centre of the artwork with ROK alongside it, and nothing else competes for attention. There are no borders, illustrations or decorative flourishes, so the lettering and numerals carry the whole piece. The layout reads the way a road sign does: a short line of text taken in at a glance.

Meaning & Symbolism

AH10 is a route designation within the Asian Highway network, a system of numbered international roads linking cities across Asia. Pairing it with ROK places that route within South Korea, so the artwork stands for travel, distance and the way numbered roads map out a region. The sign format carries much of the meaning. A route marker is a signpost for people on the move, and this design borrows that role.

Turning the Mug

A mug is turned in the hand and seen from every angle, so the designation travels around the vessel as you lift it and rotate it for another sip. Whether you are starting the morning or winding down in the evening, the sign stays in view, a cheeky reminder that every good journey begins with a warm drink and a sense of direction.
