Alleged Proposed Flag of Malaysia 2012 (Malaysia) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A flat vector design of red and white stripes with a small yellow crescent and star, based on an unofficial 2012 proposal for Malaysia.

Visual Elements & Composition

Red and white make up the bulk of the rectangle, arranged as a horizontal bicolour of stripes. Red takes about half of the surface and white most of the rest, with a little yellow used for the crescent and fourteen-pointed star. The shapes are crisp and simple, and the palette is stark and high-contrast. The yellow motifs are small against the broad bands, so the stripes set the overall look.

Meaning & Symbolism

The pattern draws on the historical Sang Saka Malaya design, and its red and white stripes are meant to evoke the Malay kingdoms of the region, including the Majapahit sultanate. The design was shown at a Merdeka eve celebration in 2012 as an unofficial piece, and it was intended for historical and educational purposes. It was never adopted as a national symbol, and its appearance sparked a political debate about the established national flag, the Jalur Gemilang. The design is best read as a historical proposal and as a record of that debate.

On the Shot Glass

At 1.5oz the glass is small and held close, so the stripes sit right in front of the eye as the shot is lifted. The sharp red and white bands read clearly at that scale, and the yellow crescent and star catch the light as the glass turns. The piece suits a home bar or a collection of barware built around the flags of Southeast Asia.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
