Altai Republic flag proposal 1 (Russia) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This is a 1991 tricolour proposal for the flag of the Altai Republic in Russia, drawn in flat vector shapes that read clearly at a glance.

Visual Elements & Composition

The field is built from horizontal bands. Blue dominates the design, filling roughly half of the surface, with white holding a quarter and red taking a fifth. A small yellow accent rounds out the palette. The bands stack as a simple rectangle, so the eye moves straight across from one colour to the next, and the layout carries no text or numerals to compete with the colour blocks.

Meaning & Symbolism

Each colour carries a meaning in the region's identity. White stands for the Altai Mountains and for nobility, blue for the sky and the Turkic peoples who live beneath it, and red for the struggle for freedom. The proposal came from a competition held while the territory was the Gorno-Altai Soviet Socialist Republic, and like many entries of that period it borrowed the Russian tricolour as its starting point. The committee did not adopt it. The official flag was chosen on 2 July 1992 from a design by the artist V. P. Chukuyev, so this proposal survives as a record of how regional pride was argued over in the early 1990s.

Designed for the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the stripes sit at the level of your fingers and the eye. Each band is clearly separated from the next when the glass is turned in the hand, which suits a flag built from simple, bold blocks. Pour a measure, raise it, and the tricolour is the first thing you see.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
