Altai Republic flag submission 1992 13 (Russia) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A geometric proposal built from blue and white triangles, with a small yellow emblem set high on the blue field, submitted by Ignatiy Ortonulov.

Visual Elements & Composition

Blue takes up the largest share of the design, with white triangles cutting into it and a short chevron-like mark giving direction to the top of the composition. The yellow emblem is the only warm note, so it draws the eye at once. The flat vector shapes are sharp and evenly weighted, and the layout relies on the triangles and open colour field rather than any ornament.

Meaning & Symbolism

Ortonulov organised the flag around the Altai landscape. The blue field stands for the skies above the Altai Mountains, the white triangle for the snow on the peaks, and the blue triangle for the Altai Republic itself. The emblem on the blue triangle is read as earth and water. The design was one of the proposals submitted to the 1992 competition for the republic's state flag. It was not adopted, since the official flag was designed by V. P. Chukuyev, but it remains a clear record of how regional identity was imagined in that period.

Fitting the Form

A shot glass is held close and seen from above as it is raised, so the triangles and the high emblem read best at that intimate scale. The bold blue field gives the 1.5oz glass a strong face that stays legible from any side of the table.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
