Altai Republic flag submission 1992 16 (Russia) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A flat vector tricolour of blue, white and green stripes, carrying a stylised outline of a mountain range, submitted in 1992 by Gennady Kebekov.

Visual Elements & Composition

The field is cut into three horizontal bands of almost equal weight, blue, white and green from top to bottom. The rectangle stays open and unbroken, with the mountain outline sitting over the stripes as the single figurative element. Because the three colours share the surface so evenly, the layout reads as a balanced, orderly statement, and the mountain shape gives it its point of focus.

Meaning & Symbolism

Kebekov's design uses Mount Belukha, the highest peak of the Altai range, as its emblem. The three peaks of the stylised mountain are read as the three principal peoples of the republic, the Altaians, the Kazakhs and the Russians. The stripes draw on the same landscape palette the region knows well: the blue of the sky, the white of the snow and the green of the valleys. The proposal was made during the 1992 selection process and was not chosen. The official flag, designed by V. P. Chukuyev, was approved on 2 July 1992, which makes this entry a useful record of how the republic's identity was argued over in its first years.

A Mountain in Hand

When a shot glass is raised, the mountain outline rises toward the drinker, so the peaks catch the eye at the same height as the rim. The three stripes stack neatly down the body of the 1.5oz glass, which suits a motif built on height and layers.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
