Altai Republic flag submission 1992 2 (Russia) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A 1992 state flag submission for the Altai Republic, built from blue and yellow horizontal bands with a white accent and a single snow-capped peak.

Shape, Colour & Layout

Blue fills about three-quarters of the rectangle and sets the tone of the piece. Yellow runs as a narrower band across the design, and a touch of white adds a clean edge. The horizontal stripes stack in a calm rhythm, and a snow-capped mountain rises as the single figure in the composition. There is no lettering, so the bands and the peak do all the talking.

Meaning & Symbolism

The colours were chosen to say something specific. Yellow stands for the spirit of Asia and its people, and blue stands for peace, tranquillity and the open sky. The designer, Nelly Kazitova, entered the work in the 1992 competition for the republic's state flag. The committee did not choose it, and the official flag adopted on 2 July 1992 came from a design by V. P. Chukuyev. The entry still shows the wider search for a regional identity at that moment of change.

Carried on a Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the horizontal bands line up with the glass as it is lifted to the eye. The blue field wraps the curve of the glass, and the mountain peak sits near the top where it is easy to see. Turn the glass and the yellow band travels around its side, a simple way to carry a quiet landscape in the hand.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
