Altai Republic flag submission 1992 26 (Russia) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A minimal flat-vector flag built on a green field, with a white disc and a small red accent, submitted to the Altai Republic's 1992 state flag competition.

Visual Elements & Composition

Green covers most of the rectangle, which gives the design its calm, uniform character. A white circle sits on the field and holds the eye, and a five-pointed star appears in red at a restrained scale. The palette is limited to three colours, and the layout is pared back to basic geometry. There is no text or numeral, so the whole message rests on the shapes and their colours.

Meaning & Symbolism

Alchibaev created this proposal for the 1992 competition to select the official flag of the Altai Republic in Russia. The green field and circle echo the open landscape of the region, and the star is a standard emblem of state identity in the flags of that period. The entry was not chosen: the republic adopted a design by V. P. Chukuyev on 2 July 1992. This submission remains a clear record of the minimalist approach that was weighed during the competition.

Held Close in the Hand

A shot glass is small and held close, so the circle and star are seen at a short distance rather than across a room. The green field reads as a solid colour block when the glass is lifted, and the star sits neatly within the view. The piece suits a home bar or a shelf of travel souvenirs, and it brings a compact piece of Russian regional vexillology into everyday use.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
