Altai Republic flag submission 1992 4 (Russia) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A red, white and blue flag proposal from 1992, built from simple geometric shapes around a crescent moon and star.

Shape, Colour & Layout

Red takes about half of the field, with white and blue sharing the rest. The colours are bold and evenly contrasted, so the design reads quickly from a distance. A crescent moon and a star sit in the design as its main emblem, supported by a geometric shape and a triangle. The layout is formal and balanced, with clear edges and no lettering.

Meaning & Symbolism

This submission was one of several alternatives put forward during the 1992 process to choose the state flag of the Altai Republic in Russia. The official flag was adopted on 2 July 1992, and this proposal was not the one chosen. It is held in the Altai Republic's archive, where it stands as a record of how the region worked to define its heraldry in the early 1990s. The crescent and star give it a link to the wider tradition of flags from the Turkic and Eurasian world.

On the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the crescent and star sit at the level of the eye as the glass is raised. The red field wraps the curved wall, and the emblem comes into view as the glass turns. It is a compact design that suits a small surface.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
