Altai Republic flag submission 1992 5 (Russia) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A 1992 flag proposal by Friedrich Taushkanov, built from white, blue and red fields with a yellow accent and a geometric emblem.

Shape, Colour & Layout

White covers the largest share of the rectangle, with blue and red forming strong blocks beside it and a small patch of yellow drawing the eye. The shapes are plain and geometric: a triangle, a circle and a square make up the emblem, set against the flat fields. There is no text, so the arrangement of colour and form carries the whole design, and its clean edges give it a crisp, modern look.

Meaning & Symbolism

Taushkanov submitted the design during the 1992 competition to create the state flag of the Altai Republic in Russia. The committee did not adopt it. The flag that the republic chose was designed by the artist V. P. Chukuyev and adopted on 2 July 1992. This proposal is now part of the archive of the region's flag-making, a record of the different artistic approaches that were considered for the republic's identity at that time.

On the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the emblem sits at the level of the eye as the glass is raised. The triangle, circle and square stay clear on the curved wall, and the bold colour blocks read quickly as the glass turns in the hand. The small surface suits a design with a few strong shapes.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
