Altai Republic flag submission 1992 6 (Russia) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A near-white flag proposal from the 1992 Altai Republic competition, with small yellow details set among simple geometric forms.

Shape, Colour & Layout

White covers almost the whole field, with yellow appearing only in small touches. The design is built from a square, a circle and a triangle, along with concentric rings and an eight-pointed star. Because the palette is so restrained, the shapes do the work: each form sits on the white ground with clear edges, and the arrangement feels spare and modern. There are no words or numerals.

Meaning & Symbolism

This is submission number six from the 1992 competition to create a state flag for the Altai Republic in Russia. The adopted flag, designed by the artist V. P. Chukuyev and approved on 2 July 1992, uses four horizontal stripes of white and light blue. This proposal stands apart from that choice as a record of the different ways the region explored its own visual identity in the early 1990s.

Held in the Hand

A shot glass is small and held close, so the central star and rings come into view as the glass is raised to the eye. The white field gives the clean silhouette of the geometric forms a crisp edge against the glass, and the yellow details catch the light when the glass turns. It is a restrained design that suits a small, close-held surface.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
