Altai Republic flag submission 1992 8 (Russia) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A 1992 flag proposal for the Altai Republic in blue, white and yellow, with a crown as its single figure.

Shape, Colour & Layout

Blue fills the largest share of the rectangle, about half of the field, with white close behind it. Yellow appears only as a small accent, and the crown is the one figure in the composition. The horizontal layout is simple and open, so the blue reads as a broad, calm field and the white keeps the design light. The yellow crown gives the eye a clear point to settle on.

Meaning & Symbolism

This is submission number eight from the 1992 selection process for the state flag of the Altai Republic in Russia. Proposals of that period were drawn from the region's landscape, and the wide skies, the mountain ranges and the snow of the Altai sit behind many of them. The flag that the republic adopted on 2 July 1992 came from the design of V. P. Chukuyev. This submission was one of several alternatives offered at the time, and it remains part of the archive that records how the region shaped its visual identity in the early 1990s.

On the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the crown sits near the rim, right where the eye lands as the glass is lifted. The blue field wraps the curved wall, and the light tones of the design hold their shape as the glass turns in the hand. It is a compact design that rewards a close look.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
