Altai Republic flag submission 1992 9 (Russia) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A 1992 flag proposal for the Altai Republic, dominated by deep blue with a yellow emblem of three peaks inside a circle.

Shape, Colour & Layout

Blue covers roughly four-fifths of the field, which makes the design feel broad and open. Yellow takes the remaining fifth and appears in a single emblem: a three-peaked mountain set inside a circle. The circle is the only shape in the composition, so the emblem sits at the centre as a clear point of focus. The palette is limited to two colours, and the contrast between the warm yellow and the cool blue gives the design its punch.

Meaning & Symbolism

The three-peaked mountain stands for the Altai range, the landscape that gives the region its name, and the enclosing circle suggests unity and wholeness. This submission was one of several put forward in 1992 during the process to choose the state flag of the Altai Republic in Russia. It was not the design chosen. The flag adopted on 2 July 1992 is the one that the republic uses today, and this proposal remains part of the record of the choices that were considered.

Carried on a Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the emblem sits in the centre of the glass, at the level of the eye as it is lifted. The blue field covers the curved wall, and the yellow circle stands out as the glass turns. The bold two-colour layout suits a small surface and reads at once.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
