An Arab From Haifa proposed Palestine flag alternative 3 (Palestine) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A 1929 flag proposal in black and dark green, with a white triangular pennant at the hoist bearing a red crescent and cross.

Visual Elements & Composition

Black and dark green make up most of the design in horizontal tricolour bands, with a smaller red and white accent at the hoist. The white triangle is a pennant that sits against the bands, and the red crescent and cross are placed on it. The composition is formal and symmetrical in its bands, and the single pennant gives the flag its clear point of focus.

Meaning & Symbolism

This was one of several flag proposals published in the Filastin newspaper in October and November 1929, under the name An Arab from Haifa, during public debate over a future Palestinian national flag. The four Pan-Arab colours signal regional unity, and the crescent paired with the cross was meant to express a Palestine in which Muslim and Christian communities stand together under one banner. The design is a document of the British Mandate period and of the ideas that circulated then.

Where the Glass Meets the Flag

A 1.5oz shot glass is small and held close, so the white pennant and its red emblem are read first, up near the rim. The dark bands frame the pennant well against the clear glass, and the compact surface keeps the crescent and cross in one quick glance.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
