Andorra traffic signal 3aIV (Andorra) (Road Sign) White Coffee Mug

This design takes a close look at the Andorra traffic signal 3aIV, a working piece of road infrastructure from the principality's transport network, drawn with the focus of a technical study.

Visual Elements & Composition

The composition is built around the structure of the signal itself. Its geometric shapes and essential components sit at the centre of the frame, with nothing decorative competing for attention. The lines are clean and the forms read clearly, so the signal's construction is the story. Every element is there to show how the apparatus is put together and how it does its job.

Meaning & Symbolism

A traffic signal is one of the most familiar objects in public life, a small device that quietly keeps vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians moving in an orderly way. This model represents the municipal engineering that sits behind everyday road safety, the planning that goes into signalling a whole town's traffic. Seen here as a study of its parts, the signal becomes a tribute to practical design that most people pass without a second glance.

Made for the Daily Cuppa

A mug is turned slowly in the hand, so this artwork gets a full rotation with every sip. Each angle brings a different part of the signal into view, which suits a piece that rewards a second look. It is a gift for anyone who notices the infrastructure around them, and a conversation starter for the morning commute you never have to make.
