Avully Coat of Arms Shot Glass Design

This shot glass showcases the heraldic artistry of Avully, a municipality in Switzerland. The design is a faithful representation of the official coat of arms, a symbol rich in history and meaning.

The Shield's Elements

The primary field of the design is a striking gold (yellow), upon which rest four blue "equipollé points". These points are arranged in a specific pattern of alternating blue squares, a nod to the Counts of Geneva, who historically held domain over Avully. This is the first element of the design.

At the top, a blue "chief" (upper section) bears a prominent gold embattled (crenellated) bar. This bar, resembling a miniature castle wall, is the second major design element. It represents the historic castle of Epeisses and also symbolizes the three key villages or hamlets that comprise the municipality: Avully, Epeisses, and Eaumorte. The crenellations themselves – the "teeth" of the embattled band – are a direct visual reference to fortification, reinforcing the link to the medieval castle and local history.

A Heraldic Legacy

The entire design, adopted in 1924, is a visual testament to Avully’s historical ties. The carefully chosen elements of the coat of arms provide a compelling story about its roots in the Counts of Geneva and the local importance of the historic castle and the villages. It is a striking and meaningful design reflecting the heritage of this Swiss municipality.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
