Bandeira de Nova Friburgo - RJ (Brazil) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A vertical tricolour of black, light blue and white, with a gold-accented escutcheon that carries the town's coat of arms.

Visual Elements & Composition

Black and light blue share the field in near-equal measure, with white giving the bands a clean separation. The vertical structure is strong and direct. At the centre sits an escutcheon, and its gold details, mural crown and small green touches make it the clear focal point. The coat of arms shows a fleur-de-lis, crescent moons, mountains and a river, and the words NOVA and FRIBURGO appear with the dates 1818 and 1890.

Meaning & Symbolism

This is the official flag of Nova Friburgo, a municipality in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Its blue and white come from the flag of Rio de Janeiro state, and its black and white recall the flag of the Swiss canton of Freiburg, honouring the Swiss immigration that shaped the town. The coat of arms draws on the local mountains and river, the Baron of Nova Friburgo, and the European origins of the early settlers. The emblem was adopted on 30 July 1964 under Municipal Chamber Resolution No. 701.

On the Shot Glass

The escutcheon sits at the centre of the glass, where the gold and the coat of arms are most visible when the glass is raised at eye level. The vertical bands run up the side of the glass, so the tricolour stays upright as the glass is turned in the hand.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
