Bandeira do Amazonas Antiga (Brazil) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This shot glass shows the historic Amazonas banner of 1897, a set of horizontal stripes in white and red with a blue canton holding a constellation of silver stars.

Visual Elements & Composition

The stripes run across the field in white and red, and the blue canton sits at the upper corner, where it holds twenty-five silver five-pointed stars. A single larger star stands at the centre of the canton. The layout is plain and balanced, with the stars forming the only ornament, so the eye moves from the stripes to the canton and then to the central star.

Meaning & Symbolism

The white stripes stand for hope and the red stripe for the overcoming of difficulties, while the blue canton stands for the skies. The twenty-five stars represent the municipalities of the state as they were organised in 1897, and the largest star marks the capital, Manaus. The banner was presented on 4 August 1897 to the 1st Amazonas Military Police Battalion before it left for the War of Canudos. Its design later became the basis for the official state flag adopted in 1982.

A Keepsake for the Table

The flag is a story told in a small space, and a shot glass is the right size to hold it. The canton and its stars are the first things seen when the glass is lifted, and the red band reads clearly against the white beneath, giving the piece a quiet historical weight at the bar or on the shelf.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
