Bandeira quadrada Dili 1952-1975 (Portugal) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design depicts the square flag of the city of Dili, used from 1952 to 1975, with its municipal coat of arms at the centre of a green and white gyronny field.

Visual Elements & Composition

The field is a gyronny of eight alternating white and green sections radiating from the centre. Over it sits the municipal shield, with its red ground, silver and golden charges and a five-towered golden mural crown above. A ribbon scroll carries the motto in lettering, and the palette of green, white, silver, gold and red keeps the emblem bold and formal.

Meaning & Symbolism

The shield shows a rooted silver sandalwood tree between bundles of silver halberds and a golden lance. The mural crown marks Dili as a provincial capital of Portuguese Timor, now Timor-Leste. The motto, O Sol logo em nascendo vê primeiro (the sun, as soon as it rises, sees first), gives the emblem its civic voice. The standard was granted on 31 May 1952, and it stands as a record of the city's identity in the mid-twentieth century.

Held in the Hand

A shot glass is small and held close, so the radiating gyronny and the central shield are seen at close range. The crown and tree are at a scale the eye can follow as the glass turns, and the green and white sections wrap around the clear body in a pattern that stays legible when the glass is lifted.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
