Bandera de Arica (Chile) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design renders the historical Bandera de Arica, a banner tied to the Chilean city of Arica and to the Battle of Arica fought on 7 June 1880.

Visual Elements & Composition

Dark blue fills most of the field, with gold, red, white and green appearing in smaller amounts. A shield sits at the centre, carrying a lion rampant, and the composition is framed by a banner that bears the words "Mayor es mi lealtad" and "San Marcos de Arica." Mountain and wave motifs appear among the figures. The style is a digital illustration with crisp, flat areas of colour.

Meaning & Symbolism

The flag belongs to the War of the Pacific, the 1879 to 1884 conflict between Chile, Peru and Bolivia over the nitrate-rich lands of the Atacama Desert. Arica, once part of Peru, passed to Chile after the 1880 battle, and the flag marks that transition. Its mix of Chilean and Peruvian elements records the moment the city changed hands. The lion and shield recall the heraldry of the period, while the inscriptions speak to loyalty and to the city's patron saint.

Where the Banner Meets the Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the banner is read at arm's length and then at the lip of the glass. The dark blue field carries the eye to the gold shield, and the lettering rewards a second look. It fits a bar shelf dedicated to Chilean history or a souvenir from the north of the country.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
