Bandera de Creta 1913 (Greece) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design reproduces the flag of the Cretan State, used from 1898 until 1913, as a bold flat vector banner of a white cross on royal blue with a red canton bearing a white star.

Visual Elements & Composition

Royal blue covers half of the field and sets the tone, with off-white and red sharing the rest. The white cross runs across the blue in a clean band, dividing the flag into quarters. In the upper corner, a red canton holds a white five-pointed star. The shapes are crisp and rectangular, and the contrast between blue, white and red is strong enough to read at a glance.

Meaning & Symbolism

The blue field and white cross stand for the Greek Christian majority of the island. The red canton and the white star record the suzerainty of the Ottoman Empire, and they speak to the Muslim minority living on Crete at the time. The flag was the emblem of the island during a transitional period, before it was formally annexed by the Kingdom of Greece in 1913. It captures the layered political identity of Crete at the turn of the twentieth century.

On the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the cross and the star sit within easy view as the glass is raised. The strong blue field makes the white cross stand out clearly, and the red canton is seen at the top of the glass as it is lifted to the lips.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
