This shot glass reproduces the Mexican tricolour adopted in 1916, with its national coat of arms set at the centre of the white band.

Visual Elements & Composition

The flat vector artwork is organised into three vertical bands of green, white and red, a layout that gives the design a clear, formal structure. Green and red take equal shares of the surface, with white framing the emblem in the middle. The coat of arms shows an eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus, with a serpent in its beak. Below it a rock stands over water, and oak and laurel branches curve around the base. Brown and blue details appear only in small areas, so the tricolour bands remain the dominant feature.

Meaning & Symbolism

The coat of arms draws on the Aztec legend of the founding of Tenochtitlan, in which an eagle on a cactus devours a serpent. That image has been the core of Mexico's national emblem for generations. The colours carry their own meaning: green stands for hope and independence, white for unity and purity, and red for the blood of the nation's heroes. The flag was adopted by decree on 20 September 1916, during the Carranza period, and it reflects the national identity that the government of that era set out to express.
