Bandera de percha MAAA (Spain) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A rectangular personal flag of Spain's Air Defence Artillery Command, set in the red and yellow of the national colours with a heraldic shield at its centre.

Visual Elements & Composition

Red and yellow are arranged in vertical bands that fill the rectangle, so the colour order of the national flag runs top to bottom. At the centre sits the command's coat of arms, combining a royal crown, crossed cannons and a winged missile emblem on a shield. The lettering MAAA appears with the full name Mando de Artillería Antiaérea and the Latin motto VIOLATI FULMINA REGIS, all set in a formal, institutional hierarchy.

Meaning & Symbolism

The design represents the Mando de Artillería Antiaérea, the Air Defence Artillery Command of the Spanish Army. The bandera de percha, also called bandera de mochila, dates to around 1860 and was a small personal flag issued to Spanish soldiers. It served as a cover for belongings on barracks shelves, a tactical marker in the field, and a shroud for soldiers killed in action. The tradition was regulated by the Royal Order of 1904 and has since been revived by modern units and historical associations.

Shown in Miniature

Because a shot glass is small and held close, the shield and crossed cannons are read at arm's length rather than across a room. The red and yellow stripes give the glass a bold, visible band that reads clearly when the glass is set on a bar.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
