BANDERA GUARDIA VATICA PANCHO (Vatican City) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A white cross divides this banner of the Pontifical Swiss Guard into four fields, each holding heraldry or the Corps' colours.

Visual Elements & Composition

The flag is a square split into four fields by a central white cross. The first field holds the arms of the reigning pontiff on red, and the fourth holds the arms of Pope Julius II on red. The second and third fields show the blue, red and yellow of the Corps. A small shield sits at the crossing of the cross, enclosed in a laurel wreath, and the palette of red, blue, yellow and white is bold and even across the design.

Meaning & Symbolism

The Pontifical Swiss Guard was established in 1506 and has served Vatican City since then. Julius II founded the Guard, and his arms in the fourth field mark that origin. The arms of the reigning pontiff in the first field tie the banner to the present papacy, and the blue, red and yellow fields carry the identity of the unit. The centre shield bears the arms of the Commander of the Guard, which places the command at the heart of the design.

Made for a Close Look

A shot glass is small and held close, so the cross and its four fields are taken in at a glance as the glass is lifted. The crossing point with its wreath sits near the middle of the front of the glass, where it is seen first.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
