Bandera Naval de Miranda (Venezuela) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A naval banner from Francisco de Miranda's independence campaign, with a sun and a moon face above a slogan on a red swallowtail.

Visual Elements & Composition

The design is built from three horizontal stripes of yellow, blue and red, with navy and gold carrying most of the colour. A sun with a human face and rays sits in one part of the field, and a full moon with a human face sits beside it, both rendered in flat vector with engraved detail. A red swallowtail banner runs across the design, carrying the slogan MUERA LA TIRANÍA VIVA LA LIBERTAD in its lettering.

Meaning & Symbolism

The stripes carry the story of the flag. Yellow stands for the wealth and gold of the land, blue for the Atlantic Ocean that separates the Americas from Europe, and red for the blood spilled in the fight for liberty. Miranda first hoisted the flag on 12 March 1806 aboard the corvette Leander during his naval expedition to liberate Venezuela. It became the basis for the modern national flag of Venezuela, and the slogan on the banner speaks directly to the revolutionary cause.

Carried Onto a Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the faces of the sun and moon and the slogan on the banner come into view at near range as the glass is raised. The bold stripes read clearly through clear glass, and the swallowtail sits near the rim, where a toast is taken.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
