Banner Birkenau Odenwald (Germany) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A red-and-white quartered banner carries the coat of arms of Birkenau, a municipality in Hesse, with a silver birch tree set on a red shield.

Quartered Field and Central Shield

Red and white make up the whole field, arranged in an off-centre quartered pattern that gives the banner its distinctive rhythm. The coat of arms sits at the centre, with a red shield holding the silver birch tree. Across the tree lies a silver H-shaped millrind, drawn in flat vector shapes with clean, even edges. The colour pairing of red and silver is the one the design takes from the Archbishopric of Mainz, and it stays crisp and legible at small scale.

A Birch for Birkenau

The birch is a canting symbol, meaning it plays on the place name itself: "Birke" is the German word for birch, so the tree speaks the name of the town. The millrind adds a second figure to the shield and sits over the tree as a clear mark of the emblem. The coat of arms was approved in 1926, and the banner design was adopted on 27 August 1976. Together they stand for the municipality's regional identity in the Bergstraße district of Hesse.

The Birch on a Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the shield and tree are seen at arm's length as the glass is lifted and turned. The quartered red and white field wraps the narrow wall of the glass, and the birch stays visible from the front and the side. It is a fitting way to keep this Odenwald town's crest on a home bar or shelf.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
