Banner Dautphetal (Germany) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design reproduces the municipal banner of Dautphetal, a community in the Marburg-Biedenkopf district of Hesse, built on a blue-white-blue triband with the town's coat of arms.

Visual Elements & Composition

Blue takes up the outer stripes of the banner while white fills the broad central band, arranged as a vertical triband in an approximate 1:4:1 ratio. The coat of arms sits in the upper part of the white stripe. It shows a silver eagle on a blue shield, holding two smaller silver shields that each carry a red lion rampant. Small touches of red and gold appear within the emblem. The flat vector style keeps the stripes and heraldry crisp and easy to read.

Meaning & Symbolism

The coat of arms draws on sculptures dating from 1543 that are found in a local church, so the emblem carries the town's history into the present. The eagle and the lions are traditional heraldic figures, and their arrangement on the shields gives the crest its formal character. The current banner was approved on 10 April 1980, following an earlier 1952 design made for the former municipality of Dautphe, and it stands as a symbol of the region's historical identity.

On the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and is held close, so the triband and the crest are read at eye level and studied up close. The vertical stripes run straight up the sides of the glass, letting the blue-white-blue rhythm carry around the body as it is turned. The shield sits in the upper part of the view, where the eye lands first, so the emblem is the first detail a guest notices.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
