Banner Fritzlar2 (Germany) Shot Glass 1.5oz

Vertical stripes of blue and white rise to a white bannerhead, where two red eight-spoked wheels joined by a red cross sit on a silver field.

Visual Elements & Composition

Blue and white make up most of the flag, split into tall vertical bands that give it a strong upright rhythm. The bannerhead at the top is solid white and carries the coat of arms, so the red and silver of the emblem contrast sharply against it. The name Fritzlar appears within the banner, the only lettering in the piece. Everything is flat and clean-edged, with no shading or texture to interrupt the colour blocks.

Meaning & Symbolism

The two wheels are derived from the Wheels of Mainz, and they record Fritzlar's past as part of the Archbishopric of Mainz. The red cross that links them holds the emblem together. The banner's blue and white stripes and its formal palette of red, blue, white and silver give the town a civic identity that reads as settled and historical. The design was adopted in 1963.

Where It Sits on the Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the banner is best seen when the glass is lifted to eye level. The tall stripes run the height of the glass wall, and the white bannerhead with its red wheels sits near the rim where the eye lands first. Bold, few forms like these keep their shape on a small curved surface, a fitting way to hold a piece of Hesse heraldry on a bar shelf.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
