Banner Landkreis Frankenberg (Germany) Shot Glass 1.5oz

Two facing lions hold a six-spoked wheel above a golden hill on a blue field, the emblem of the former Landkreis Frankenberg in Hesse.

Visual Elements & Composition

Blue fills the field behind the central emblem, with white providing the largest share of the banner around it. The coat of arms is the focal point. One lion is striped in silver and red, the other is gold, and the two face each other with the spoked wheel between them. A golden triple hill sits at the base. The palette of blue, gold, silver and red gives the design the strong, formal contrast typical of regional heraldry.

Meaning & Symbolism

The striped lion is the Hessian lion, linking the district to the state it belonged to. The six-spoked wheel is the Wheel of Mainz, a motif that appears in many heraldic arms of the region. The golden hill at the base anchors the design in the landscape. The arms were approved on 14 August 1962 and served the district until it merged into the Landkreis Waldeck-Frankenberg on 1 January 1974.

Set on the Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the two lions are read at short range as the glass is lifted toward the eye. The blue field and gold hill sit low on the glass, and the wheel between the lions catches the light through the clear glass as the drink is raised.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
