Banner of Bedfordshire council (England) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design is the heraldic banner of Bedfordshire, England, with red and gold quadrants framing a black band of white scallop shells.

Visual Elements & Composition

The flag is split into red and gold quadrants, with a vertical black band running through the centre. Three white scallop shells are stacked down that band, and blue and white wavy lines run across the lower part of the field to suggest water. Black and yellow carry the strongest contrast, and the layout is formal and balanced, with no lettering.

Meaning & Symbolism

The red and gold quadrants come from the Beauchamp family, the local landowners who built Bedford Castle. The three white escallops on the black band are taken from the arms of the Russells, Dukes of Bedford, and the wavy blue and white lines stand for the River Great Ouse. The design follows the arms granted to Bedfordshire County Council in 1951, and a slightly modified version was registered as the county flag in September 2014.

Small Glass, Clear Shells

On a shot glass the vertical band of shells runs up the curve of the wall, so the three scallops stay in view as the glass is lifted. The blue and white river lines wrap the lower edge and keep their flow around the rim. It is a dignified piece of local heraldry that suits a glass picked up for a closer look.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
