Banner of Duchy of Samogitia 1609-1618-2 (Lithuania) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design shows a black bear rampant with a silver collar, standing on a red field in the banner of the Duchy of Samogitia.

Visual Elements & Composition

The swallowtail banner is mostly white, with a strong red field behind the bear. The bear stands upright in black, its silver collar picked out against the red, and a heraldic shield and rosette badge sit among the devices. Latin inscriptions run across the banner, naming Sigismund III and the Duchy of Lithuania. The layout is flat, formal and balanced, with the bear as the clear focal point.

Meaning & Symbolism

The bear is the traditional coat of arms of Samogitia, the historic region of western Lithuania that was a distinct duchy within the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. It stands for the strength and local identity of the province. The reverse of the banner carries the Pahonia, the mounted knight that served as the emblem of the Grand Duchy, so the two devices together show the region's place within the larger state. The banner dates from 1609 to 1618 and is based on period records.

Small Glass, Upright Bear

On a shot glass the bear rises up the side of the glass, standing tall as the glass is lifted to eye level. The red field wraps the curve of the wall and keeps the black figure sharp. It is a strong, upright emblem for a glass that is picked up and looked at closely.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
