Banner of the Almohads alternate (Algeria) Shot Glass 1.5oz

Three stacked lines of gold Arabic calligraphy sit on a clean white field, a text-only banner from the medieval Almohad Caliphate.

Visual Elements & Composition

White covers nearly the whole surface, so the gold lettering is the only element on the design. The three lines are stacked one above another and set in a balanced, centred block. The script carries the composition, with no figures, borders or ornament beside it. The effect is restrained and typographic, closer to a written proclamation than a picture.

Meaning & Symbolism

The Almohads were a Berber Muslim dynasty that held the Maghreb and Al-Andalus during the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. Dynastic banners of that era served as military standards and marks of the ruling house's authority. The lettering names God and the Prophet and gives the title of the Mahdi as the caliph of God, so the text itself expresses the dynasty's claim to rule. This alternate version differs from the standard Almohad insignia, and it stands as a record of how the caliphate communicated its identity across North Africa.

Shaped for the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, lifted to eye level for a moment before it is tipped back. At that distance a block of gold script on white reads as a single image. The three lines sit within the glass's curve, so the calligraphy stays readable as the glass turns in the hand.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
