Banner of the Castilian Realm of Murcia 1266-1361 (Spain) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A flat-vector heraldic banner of medieval Murcia, with golden royal crowns set on a deep crimson field.

Visual Elements & Composition

Crimson red, which the heraldry calls Cartagena red, fills most of the rectangular field. Golden crowns are arranged across it as the main charges, and they are the brightest points in the design. A few white horizontal bars appear at one edge, adding a plain counterpoint to the ornament. The layout is flat and direct, with no lettering.

Meaning & Symbolism

King Alfonso X the Wise granted the first banner and coat of arms to the realm on 14 May 1266, after the Christian reconquest of the region. The crowns mark royal privileges, and the version adopted in 1281 carries the crowns to signal the kingdom's loyalty to the Castilian monarchy. The design represents Murcia during its time as a realm within the Crown of Castile, and it speaks to the regal and dignified character of medieval Spanish sovereignty.

Crowns on a Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the crowns are the first thing the eye lands on, and the crimson field fills the rest of the view as the glass is turned. The bold contrast of gold on red survives the small scale well, giving the glass a compact piece of Murcian royal heraldry for the home bar.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
