Banner of the Dingwall Pursuivant (Scotland) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A flat-vector heraldic badge in gold on royal blue, showing a star within a radiating ring beneath a crown.

Visual Elements & Composition

Royal blue fills most of the field, and gold carries the entire badge. A gold mullet, or star, sits at the centre, set inside a gold rayonné ring with radiating rays. A gold coronet crowns the design, decorated with fleurs-de-lis and crosses pattée. The sun and wavy rays and the crown together give the badge a formal, symmetrical shape, with no lettering.

Meaning & Symbolism

The badge belongs to the Dingwall Pursuivant, an officer of the Court of the Lord Lyon in Scotland. The star and the radiating ring are the heraldic marks of the office, and the coronet signals its royal standing. The post began as a private officer of arms for the Lord of the Isles, then became an officer of the Scottish Crown in 1493, after the Lord of the Isles forfeited his titles to James IV. Today the pursuivant assists the Lord Lyon King of Arms in state ceremonies and in regulating armorial bearings.

A Gold Badge on the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the crown and the central star are the first things seen, with the rayed ring opening out around them as the glass is turned. The gold on blue holds its contrast at that size, giving the glass a compact piece of Scottish heraldic office for the home bar.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
