Banner of Tupaq Qatari (Bolivia) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A flat vector checkerboard of five muted tones, a modern rendering of a banner tied to the 18th-century Aymara leader Túpac Katari.

Visual Elements & Composition

The design is a square grid of tiles, and each of the five colours covers an equal share of the field: sage, slate blue, mauve, salmon and terracotta. No single hue dominates, so the eye moves across the whole surface rather than settling on a focal point. The checkerboard arrangement is orderly and repetitive, and the flat vector finish keeps each tile's edge sharp. There is no text or numeral in the design.

Meaning & Symbolism

Túpac Katari, born Julián Apaza Nina, led a major uprising against Spanish colonial authority in Upper Peru, the territory of present-day Bolivia. His best-known action was the 1781 siege of La Paz, and he remains a central figure of indigenous resistance. The banner is read as a marker of that struggle for autonomy, and of the heritage of Andean peoples. The design is often linked to the wider visual tradition of the Wiphala, a multicoloured patchwork that stands for the unity and social organisation of Andean communities. It is not a national flag, and it belongs to the history of the rebellion rather than to the state.

On the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the checkerboard is seen up near the eye and read tile by tile. The grid wraps the curved wall of the glass, and the repeating squares carry around the rim as the glass is turned in the hand.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
