Barasso-Gonfalone (Italy) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A white civic banner, or gonfalone, carrying the coat of arms of Barasso in the Province of Varese.

Visual Elements & Composition

White dominates the banner, with the coat of arms set in its centre and a few accent colours of red, green, silver and blue. The vertical banner shape frames a shield, a mural crown and branches of laurel and oak. A tree, a cogwheel, a compass and a star are placed among the charges. Lettering runs across the design in the form COMUNE DI BARASSO, with the motto AEQVITATE ET IVSTITIA beneath it. The illustration is flat and clean, so each element reads separately.

Meaning & Symbolism

Barasso is a town in the Province of Varese, in the Lombardy region of northern Italy. The gonfalone is the traditional banner that carries a municipality's identity in civic processions and ceremonies, and the coat of arms on it is the town's heraldic emblem. The motto AEQVITATE ET IVSTITIA, meaning equity and justice, is the civic ideal the design puts forward. Its laurel and oak branches, tree, cogwheel and compass speak to the heritage, work and direction of the community.

A Banner Seen Up Close

A shot glass is small and held close, so the lettering and charges are read at arm's length. The tall upright banner fits the narrow body of the glass, and the white ground shows clearly through the clear glass. It is a fitting piece for a home bar, and a keepsake for anyone drawn to Italian civic heraldry.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
