BarbarosSancagi (Oman) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A flat vector reproduction of the green banner that sailed under Admiral Hayreddin Barbarossa in the sixteenth century, set on a field of deep green with a white cartouche at its centre.

Visual Elements & Composition

Green covers most of the design, with white as the only other colour. At the centre sits a white rounded cartouche holding an Arabic calligraphic inscription, framed by a white two-pronged sword, the Zulfiqar, and a six-pointed hexagram. Four white crescents, each carrying Arabic lettering, sit around the cartouche, so the composition reads as a balanced, symmetrical emblem with the text at its core.

Meaning & Symbolism

The green field stands for Islamic identity, and the banner was the standard of Barbarossa, the Ottoman admiral who held naval authority in the Mediterranean until 1546. The inscription is a Quranic phrase expressing hope for help from God and a near victory, a sentiment suited to a commander at sea. The sword, the star and the crescents draw on the emblems of Ottoman military and religious tradition. The original silk banner is held in the Naval Museum in Beşiktaş, Istanbul.

Carrying a Banner on a Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the design is read from the hand and at the table rather than from across a room. The white cartouche and sword stand out clearly through the clear glass, giving a compact piece of maritime history a place in the home bar.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
