Battle Flag of Moldavia 1467 - 1st version Shot Glass 1.5oz

A deep red triangular pennant carries the gold head of an aurochs, the wild ox that has long stood for the Principality of Moldavia, set against a bold, solemn field.

Visual Elements & Composition

Dark red covers most of the design, with a tapered swallowtail point giving the banner its distinctive shape. Gold provides the only contrast. The bull's head with its curved horns sits at the centre of the field, and the star, rose and crescent moon are set around it as small accents. The result is a flat, high-contrast vector composition with no text or numerals, built on one dominant colour and a single strong figure.

Meaning & Symbolism

The aurochs head is the traditional emblem of Moldavia and signifies strength and regional independence. The star between its horns, the rose and the crescent moon complete the coat of arms. This version reconstructs the banner from a 1488 engraving by I. Kukullo, which depicts the Battle of Baia on 15 December 1467, when Stephen the Great of Moldavia faced King Matthias Corvinus of Hungary. The design is a modern reconstruction of a fifteenth-century standard.

Where the Design Sits on This Glass

A shot glass is small and lifted in one movement, so the pennant is seen close and in full at a glance. The red field fills the glass's curved surface and the gold bull's head stands out clearly as the glass is turned. It is a fitting way to bring a fifteenth-century standard of a proud principality onto the home bar.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
