A single identifier, BE-N30, set against a plain field, turns Belgium into a clean, graphic statement.
Visual Elements & Composition
Nothing competes for attention here. The layout is minimalist and structured, and the designation BE-N30 carries the whole composition. The lettering is the centrepiece, with open space around it so the code reads instantly from across a table.
Meaning & Symbolism
The artwork centres entirely on Belgium. Its road-sign framing gives the designation the clarity of wayfinding, the kind of marker that tells you exactly where you are. Themes of national identity and geography run through the piece, so the identifier stands in for the country itself: a short code that points straight to Belgium with no decoration around it.
Made for Slow Mornings
A mug is turned in the hand, so the design has to work in rotation. Here the BE-N30 marking travels around the body as you lift and turn your cup, and the wording is short enough to catch the eye on every pass. For a friend with a Belgian connection, or someone who likes their geography close at hand, this is a gift that says something without needing a paragraph of explanation.
