Benelux vlag (Netherlands) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This is the Benelux flag, a horizontal red, white and blue tricolour with a central black panel that holds a yellow lion rampant.

Visual Elements & Composition

The flag is built from three horizontal bands of red, white and blue, and a black rectangle sits across the centre. Yellow dominates the design through the lion, which is the largest single shape on the flag. The layout is heraldic and formal, and the flat vector drawing keeps the lion's outline clean against the black field.

Meaning & Symbolism

The lion is the Leo Belgicus, the heraldic beast that stands for the historical Low Countries and recalls the Belgian coat of arms. The colours bring in the other two partners: the red is drawn from Luxembourg and the blue from the Netherlands. The flag was commissioned in 1951 by the Committee for Belgian–Dutch–Luxembourgish Cooperation to blend the national identities of the three countries. It was never officially adopted by the Benelux Union, but it remains a notable historical emblem of regional cooperation.

In the Hand

A shot glass is small and held close, so the lion and the bands of colour are seen at eye level as the glass is lifted. The strong contrast of the black panel and yellow lion reads clearly through the clear glass, and the design rewards a close look in a way a flag seen from a distance cannot.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
