Blason Fr Ahetze Labourd (Spain) Shot Glass Design

This striking shot glass showcases the heraldic coat of arms of Ahetze, a village in the Basque region of Labourd, historically linked to both French and Spanish Basque traditions.

Design Elements

The design is divided vertically (party per pale), presenting two distinct halves that blend history and symbolism.

Dexter Side (Left)

The left side features a vibrant gold/yellow background (Or) that serves as the backdrop to a powerful red lion (lion rampant gules). This lion is depicted standing upright, holding a black processional cross with six bells between its paws. This element pays homage to historic Labourd imagery and incorporates a processional cross dating back to the 16th century, representing local history and religious heritage.

Sinister Side (Right)

The right side is a serene blue (Azure), upon which a gold pilgrim’s staff stands vertically (in pale). This staff is surmounted by two gold scallop shells, classic symbols of pilgrimage. The staff and shells evoke the medieval pilgrimage routes, particularly those leading to Santiago de Compostela, signifying hospitality and a connection to the area's rich history of waystations.

Symbolism & Meaning

The coat of arms, adopted in 1996, is a visual representation of Ahetze's identity. The lion and processional cross speak to the village's deep religious roots and its place within the historic Labourd region. The pilgrim's staff and scallop shells symbolize hospitality, travel, and the community's connection to ancient pilgrim routes.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
