Bottanuco-Stemma (Italy) Shot Glass Design

This shot glass showcases the official coat of arms (stemma) of Bottanuco, Italy, a design rich in historical symbolism.

The Shield: A Divided Heritage

The central element is a shield, "partito" (vertically divided). The left half, against a gold (or) background, presents a steel sword, its point directed downwards, flanked by three upside-down red hearts arranged horizontally. The right half features a natural-colored goose feather (penna d’oca) laid diagonally against a red (gules) backdrop.

A Chief of Conflict

The top of the shield, the "chief," is divided, with blue (azure) on the left and black (sable) on the right, further dividing the top section.

Symbolism Woven in Art

The sword and hearts tell of Bottanuco’s past. The sword, point down, may symbolize the defeat and mourning of the town when it was destroyed in 1398, while the three inverted red hearts are associated with the Colleoni family, who held significant power over the area. The goose feather pays homage to Giovanni Finazzi, a notable local historian. The blue and black chief represent the historic conflicts of the area between the Guelphs and Ghibellines factions.

Civic Pride

The entire design, officially recognized in 1967, is topped with a civic crown, a common feature of municipal coats of arms.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
