Bradford (England) Coat of Arms Shot Glass Design

This shot glass showcases the intricate and symbolic Coat of Arms of Bradford, England. The design is a vibrant representation of the city's history and heritage, meticulously rendered for a striking visual impact.

The Shield

The central element is the shield, divided vertically into two halves: red (gules) and blue (azure). Across the center, a gold (Or) engrailed chevron elegantly cuts across the shield. Atop the shield, in the top portion (chief), are two bugle horns, one on each colored half. In the base (bottom) part, a fleece symbolizes Bradford's historic wool industry.

On the chevron, a "fountain" is incorporated—a heraldic fountain (roundel with wavy lines), a nod to the connection with Keighley and Ilkley. Surrounding the shield is a border (bordure) made of alternating red and white squares. On the red squares are eleven white roses (Yorkshire roses), commemorating the eleven Yorkshire councils that merged in 1974.

The Crest, Supporters, and Motto

Above the shield, the crest is a gold boar’s head, mounted on a red and blue mural crown. The boar's head references the "legend of the boar of Cliffe Wood.”

The shield is flanked by two supporters: on the right (dexter), a gold stag wearing a blue collar adorned with three white roses; on the left (sinister), an Angora goat (white), horned gold, wearing a red collar also adorned with three white roses. The stag is taken from the arms of the Cavendish family, linked to Keighley. The goat represents the wool industry.

The motto, "Progress · Industry · Humanity," is a powerful statement of Bradford's values, completes the design.

Symbolism

The design tells a story of Bradford's past and present. The bugle horns refer to a historic service. The fleece symbolizes Bradford's historic wool and textile industry. The fountain acknowledges Keighley and Ilkley, parts of the metropolitan district. The eleven white roses represent the unification of eleven Yorkshire councils in 1974. The boar's head is a reference to a local legend. The mural crown represents local government and city status. The stag and goat (supporters) link into local heritage.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
