Brasão de Boituva Shot Glass - Design Description

This shot glass showcases the official coat of arms (Brasão) of Boituva, a city in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The design is rich with historical and symbolic elements, reflecting the city's heritage and values.

Shield Composition

The central element is the shield, divided horizontally. The top half features a blue field (azure) with a depiction of a dog of Saint Roch, in its natural colors. Below, a gold/yellow field (or) displays a clay mound topped with pioneer tools, representing the early settlers and pioneers of the area.

The bottom half of the shield presents a green field (vert) with a tower featuring red gates/windows, placed on a gear wheel. This symbolizes the industrial development of Boituva. Flanking the gear and tower are intertwined snakes, referencing the Tupi-Guarani origin of Boituva's name, meaning "many snakes."

External Ornaments & Embellishments

The shield is topped by a mural crown, a common feature for municipal coats of arms in Brazil. A white/silver fleur-de-lis sits atop the crown, referencing Nossa Senhora da Aparecida, the patron saint of a local district.

On either side of the shield, a sugar cane branch and a coffee branch are displayed, representing the historical agricultural production of the municipality.

Motto

Below the shield, a blue scroll carries the Latin motto "FIDES · LABOR · HOSPITALITAS," which translates to "Faith · Work · Hospitality," encapsulating the core values of Boituva.

Symbolism

The design elements are carefully chosen to represent the identity of Boituva. The St. Roch's dog pays homage to the patron saint. The pioneer tools and clay mound recall the founding settlers. The gear and tower represent industrial development, while the snakes acknowledge the indigenous origins of the city's name. The sugar cane and coffee branches reflect the city's agricultural past, and the fleur-de-lis highlights the religious tradition. Finally, the motto emphasizes the community's values.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
