Brasil estado 121 jct (Brazil) (Road Sign) White Coffee Mug

A minimal road-sign composition: the route number 121 in bold black figures, set inside a double-outlined pentagon on a clean white field.

Visual Elements & Composition

The design runs on two colours, black and white, with the white ground taking up nearly all of the surface. The pentagon outline is drawn twice, one line inside the other, which gives the marker its official-looking edge. The numerals 121 sit centred within it and dominate the layout, so the number is the only thing the eye lands on.

Meaning & Symbolism

The artwork borrows the visual language of Brazilian highway markers, where a route number identifies a road across a state network. Reducing that sign to its number and outline turns a piece of practical wayfinding into a small emblem of regional identity. The flat, modern treatment keeps the focus on the designation itself rather than on decoration.

Set Against the Curve of a Mug

A mug is held close and turned in the hand, so the pentagon rotates past the eye with each sip. Wrapped around the cylinder, the double outline stays readable from the handle side, and the bold numerals hold their shape as the cup is lifted and set down again.
