Brasil estado 341 jct (Brazil) (Road Sign) Color Changing Mug 11oz

This design takes the form of a Brazilian road sign: a pentagon outline holding the route number 341 inside a double-line border.

Visual Elements & Composition

The palette is strictly black and white. White fills the great majority of the field, with black reserved for the sign's outline, its double-line border and the numerals. The flat vector treatment has no shading, gradients or ornament, so the eye goes straight to the shape and the number. The pentagon sits centred and balanced, with the figure 341 set boldly inside it. Nothing competes with the sign itself, and the layout reads as clean and direct.

Meaning & Symbolism

The pentagon is the signal shape of a route marker, the device drivers use to find their way along a numbered road. Here the marker carries the identifier 341 alongside the words Brasil estado, placing the sign within Brazil's state road network. The text “jct” points to a junction, a place where routes meet and drivers must choose a direction. The design is a study in how a country arranges its roads into codes, turning a practical piece of wayfinding into a graphic emblem of Brazilian identity.

Made for the Hand, Read at Close Range

A mug is held close and turned slowly in the hand, so the sign's outline and numerals are seen at reading distance, one face at a time. The design wraps the cup as a continuous band, and its black and white contrast suits a vessel that changes as it warms. As the mug heats, the artwork is revealed, so the route marker appears gradually with each cup of coffee or tea, much like a road coming into view as you travel along it.
